Norwegian-produced organic feed protein for pigs

The main objective is to obtain and disseminate knowledge about Norwegian production of organic feed that will contribute to ensure the protein supply in organic pig farming in accordance with new organic regulations.

The project will provide knowledge about organic cultivation of oilseed crops and develop methods for making leaf protein from grass-clover mixtures into a feed ingredient for pigs. In addition, feed rations will be calculated based on 30% or 100% Norwegian raw materials and which contain rapeseed cake and leaf protein. NORSØK will mainly work to find out how adaptations to future requirements for Norwegian-produced feed affect the economy in production og fattening pigs and contribute to the dissemination of the results in the form of information videos.
