Increasing awareness of the pedagogical value of school gardens in Møre og Romsdal
This project aims to enhance understanding of the pedagogical value of school gardens in Møre og Romsdal and to integrate ecological school gardens into local plans.
We offer:
- Knowledge and competence: Through seminars and courses, we expand knowledge about school gardens among politicians, administration, and educators.
- Resources and guidance: We develop updated resources and establish a network for knowledge sharing and support in creating ecological school gardens.
- Innovative collaboration: We explore collaboration among diverse user groups in the school garden to create inspiring models.
- National visibility: Project results are shared nationally, strengthening the focus on school gardens in the region and country.
Primary objectives
Through this project, we aim to increase understanding of the pedagogical value of school gardens and their significance in ecological cultivation, sustainability, and interdisciplinary learning among politicians, administrators, and educators in Møre og Romsdal. We work to integrate ecological school gardens into municipal and educational plans in the region, emphasizing the pedagogical value of school gardens as a resource for teaching and learning. Simultaneously, we seek to enhance the competence of teachers and leaders in Møre og Romsdal to promote the use of school gardens in teaching in an integrated and interdisciplinary manner.
