Soil and the term regenerative

NORSØK will participate in Norwegian projects that work with soil and regenerative themes.

NORSØK will contribute with experience and results from its many years of work with organic farming and some recent experiences related to testing soil health. We will see how and what organic farming can learn from different approaches linked to regenerating soils and ecosystems.

How to measure whether an ecosystem is regenerating?
The project "Targeted grazing for better soil and ecosystem health" aims to support farmers with counselling and training. The aim of the project is to guide farmers towards regenerative operations on their farms and to test a method for monitoring ecosystem processes (EOV).

The EOV-method consists of different parts and is called "Ecological Outcome verification". NORSØK contributes by participating, learning and providing input to the EOV-methodology.

Surface composting
NORSØK will contribute to the project "Surface composting with Terra Biosa- an alternative to glyphosate and plow in arable cultivation" with expertise in soil, soil health and result management.

Knowledge sharing
The project will also disseminate relevant knowledge about soil and regenerative topics.
