Bark as feed addative

This pre- project will identify potential and research areas for bark as an antiparasitic for ruminants.

Arranging workshops with livestock farmers and the wood industry, we will investigate interest in and potential for extracting bioactive substances from bark to be used against parasites in ruminants.
We will map research needs and assess which substance groups who are most relevant to investigate further. The goal with this preliminary project is to lay the foundation for a major and more investigating project with the industry and other research institutions, both here at home and internationally.
