New Solutions for Decentralized, Renewable Energy Production on Farms in Norway "Lavkarbo"

The project aims to stimulate investments in environmental technology that can contribute to cost-efficient reduction of GHG emissions from agriculture.

Revisions of Norway’s Energy Act make it easier to establish new ventures in wind power and other renewables. The project will study the integration of small-scale wind, hydro, solar and bioenergy technology and address the technical challenges linked to combining existing technology into a complete energy supply system for use on farms in Norway. This project shall help to obtain data that can be used to select appropriate equipment, plant design, control and distribution systems and organisational models.
